ওয়েস্ট বেঙ্গল পুলিশ রিক্রুটমেন্ট বাের্ডের মাধ্যমে কনস্টেবলের ৮৪১৯টি শূন্যপদে নিয়ােগের জন্য বিজ্ঞপ্তি প্রকাশিত হয়েছে । এই চাকরি শুধু পুরুষদের জন্য ।
বেতন : মূল বেতন ৫৪০০ – ২৫২০০ টাকা + গ্রেড পে ২৬০০ টাকা ও অন্যান্য ভাতা ।
শিক্ষাগত যােগ্যতা : ওয়েস্ট বেঙ্গল বাের্ড অব সেকেন্ডারি এডুকেশন বা সমতুল বাের্ড থেকে মাধ্যমিক উত্তীর্ণ হতে হবে ।
শারীরিক যােগ্যতা : সাধারণ প্রার্থীদের জন্য ন্যূনতম উচ্চতা হতে হবে ১৬৭ সেমি , ওজন ৫৭ কেজি , বুকের ছাতি অন্তত ৫ সেমি । ফোলানাের ক্ষমতা সহ ফুলিয়ে ৮৩ সেমি , না ফুলিয়ে ৭৮ সেমি ।
গােখা , রাজবংশী , গাড়ােয়ালি , এসটি প্রার্থীদের জন্যউচ্চতা ১৬০ সেমি , ওজন ৫৩ কেজি , বুকের ছাতি ফুলিয়ে ৮১ সেমি , না ফুলিয়ে ৭৬ সেমি ।
বয়সসীমা : ১ জানুয়ারি , ২০১৯ অনুযায়ী ১৮ থেকে ২৭ বছর । রাজ্যের সংরক্ষিত শ্রেণির জন্য সরকারি নিয়ম অনুযায়ী বয়সের ছাড় রয়েছে । সিভিক ভলেন্টিয়ারদের জন্য বয়সের ছাড় নেই ।
প্রার্থী বাছাই : প্রথমে প্রিলিমিনারি লিখিত পরীক্ষা , ১০০ নম্বরের । MCQsটাইপের প্রশ্ন হবে । এক ঘণ্টার পরীক্ষা । বাংলা ও নেপালি ভাষায় প্রশ্ন হবে । ১০০ নম্বরের মধ্যে ৫০ নম্বর জেনারেল । অ্যাওয়ারনেস এবং জেনারেল নলেজ , ৩০ নম্বর এলিমেন্টারি | ম্যাথমেটিক্স ( মাধ্যমিক মানের ) ও ২০ নম্বরের রিজনিং থাকবে । ১টি ভুল উত্তরের জন্য ১ / ৪নম্বর কাটা যাবে । এই পরীক্ষায় উত্তীর্ণ হলে ফিজিক্যাল মেজারমেন্ট টেস্ট হবে ।

3. METHOD OF RECRUITMENT : –
A. Preliminary Written Test (Full Marks – 100) : –
Applicants provisionally considered eligible will have to appear in an MCQ based preliminary written test
which is qualifying in nature. There would be 100 objective type questions having multiple choice (four
choices) of answers carrying equal marks each. The duration of this tests will be 1(one) hour. Question
paper will be set in two languages (Bengali & Nepali). Questions of the Preliminary Written Test shall be
from the following subjects :-
i. General Awareness and General Knowledge : 50 Marks
ii. Elementary Mathematics (Madhyamik Standard) : 30 Marks
iii. Reasoning : 20 Marks
4. ELIGIBILITY:-
a) Must be a Citizen of India.
b) AGE: – (i) The applicant must not be less than 18 (eighteen) years old and must not be more than 27 (twenty
seven) years old as on 01/01/2019. The Upper-age limit shall be relaxed for the SC/ST applicants of West
Bengal only by 05 (five) years and OBC applicants of West Bengal only by 03 (three) years. The upper age
limit is also relaxable for NVF and Home Guards Personnel (serving in West Bengal Police only) as per
existing Government Rules. However Age relaxation is NOT available to Civic Volunteers.
c) Educational Qualification :- The applicant must have passed Madhyamik Examination from the West
Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent.
